Your MP3 file
Download MP3Use one mono or stereo AAC-LC stream in unprotected ADTS framing, with one raw data block per frame. CRC-protected ADTS, other AAC profiles, M4A and MP4 containers, LATM/LOAS and other framing are not supported. MP3 adds a new lossy encoding and cannot restore detail lost in AAC encoding. Use a sample rate of 8–48 kHz.

Which AAC (ADTS) files can I convert?
This page accepts one mono or stereo AAC-LC stream in an .aac file using unprotected ADTS with one raw data block per frame. CRC-protected ADTS, other AAC profiles, M4A or MP4 containers and LATM/LOAS are not supported.
Will MP3 restore the original sound?
No. These inputs already use lossy audio compression. MP3 adds another lossy encoding at 128 kbit/s, so identical sound is not guaranteed.
What happens to metadata and sample precision?
Inspected tags and chapters are omitted after your confirmation. If decoding requires a reduction to signed 16-bit samples, review and confirm that separate choice before converting. Creating MP3 requires a separate choice for new lossy encoding.
Can I use the related audio containers here?
Use the M4A or MP4 converters for AAC in those containers; this page is for ADTS .aac files.
What are the file and duration limits?
The converter shows the current file-size and duration limits before upload. Only mono or stereo audio at 8–48 kHz is supported. A file within those limits can still be rejected for an unsupported container, codec or stream layout.
