Your WAV file
Download WAVUse one complete logical Ogg Opus audio stream, mono or stereo. Chained or multiplexed streams, Vorbis audio, raw Opus packets and Opus in WebM are outside this page. WAV matches the inspected signed 16-bit decoded samples without a new lossy encoding; it cannot restore detail lost in Opus encoding and can be much larger. Use a sample rate of 8–48 kHz.
How to convert Opus to WAV
- Choose your Opus file. The current file and duration limits appear above.
- Choose Inspect Opus to upload the original and check its audio.
- Review and confirm each required choice, then choose Convert to WAV.
- Preview if your browser supports it, or download the .wav file.
Which Opus files can I convert?
This page accepts one complete mono or stereo logical Ogg Opus stream in an .opus file. Chained or multiplexed Ogg, surround channel mappings, Vorbis, raw Opus packets and WebM containers are excluded.
Will WAV restore the original sound?
No. These inputs already use lossy audio compression. WAV preserves the inspected signed 16-bit decoded samples without a new lossy encoding; it cannot recover detail already lost.
What happens to metadata and sample precision?
Inspected tags and chapters are omitted after your confirmation. If decoding requires a reduction to signed 16-bit samples, review and confirm that separate choice before converting. WAV does not add a new lossy audio encoding.
Can I use the related audio containers here?
Use the WebM converter for Opus in WebM. The existing Ogg converters are for Vorbis and do not treat .ogg and .opus as interchangeable.
What are the file and duration limits?
The converter shows the current file-size and duration limits before upload. Only mono or stereo audio at 8–48 kHz is supported. WAV output can be much larger than the compressed input and must also fit the output limit.
