Checking WebM to WAV availability…

Use a complete, self-contained WebM file with one mono or stereo Opus audio track and at most one VP8, VP9 or AV1 video track. Audio-only WebM is also supported. Streamed or partial recording chunks, generic Matroska files, Vorbis audio, extra audio tracks, subtitles and data tracks are not supported. Any video is omitted. WAV matches the inspected signed 16-bit decoded samples; it cannot restore detail lost in Opus encoding and can be much larger. Use a sample rate of 8–48 kHz.

How to convert WebM to WAV

  1. Choose your WebM (Opus) file. The current file and duration limits appear above.
  2. Choose Inspect WebM (Opus) to upload the original and check its audio.
  3. Review and confirm each required choice, then choose Convert to WAV.
  4. Preview if your browser supports it, or download the .wav file.

Which WebM (Opus) files can I convert?

Use a complete, self-contained WebM file containing one Opus audio track and at most one VP8, VP9 or AV1 video track. Audio-only WebM is also supported. Streamed or partial recording chunks, other audio codecs, generic Matroska, extra audio, subtitle and data tracks are not supported. Some recording files that use open-ended chunks must be finalized or exported before conversion.

Will WAV restore the original sound?

No. These inputs already use lossy audio compression. WAV preserves the inspected signed 16-bit decoded samples without a new lossy encoding; it cannot recover detail already lost.

What happens to metadata and sample precision?

Inspected tags and chapters are omitted after your confirmation. If decoding requires a reduction to signed 16-bit samples, review and confirm that separate choice before converting. WAV does not add a new lossy audio encoding.

Does the output contain video?

No. This task extracts the supported audio track and omits any video. It does not transcode or download a video file.

What are the file and duration limits?

The converter shows the current file-size and duration limits before upload. Only mono or stereo audio at 8–48 kHz is supported. WAV output can be much larger than the compressed input and must also fit the output limit.
