How to convert TSV to XLSX
- Choose a UTF-8 TSV with literal tabs, unique nonempty headers and one line per record.
- Select Windows (CRLF) or Unix (LF) to match the file, then choose Inspect TSV.
- Check the rows and columns, then choose Convert to XLSX. Incompatible fields are rejected.
- Download one plain XLSX worksheet. IDs, leading zeros and the inspected row order stay unchanged.
Which TSV files can I use?
Use UTF-8 without a byte-order mark, literal tab separators and consistent LF or CRLF records. Each row must have the same number of fields. Quotes are ordinary text and cannot escape tabs or line breaks. Control characters and formula-looking prefixes are rejected.
Will IDs and leading zeros stay text?
Yes. The output stores every admitted value as a text cell, including IDs and leading zeros. It does not guess numeric types, dates or formulas. Empty strings are supported.
Does the XLSX include spreadsheet formatting?
The result is one plain worksheet, with the header row and data in the inspected order. It does not add formulas, numeric cells, styling, merged cells or multiple sheets. The current file limits are shown above; XLSX output is limited to 200,000 data cells.
