Redaction guide for sensitive regions
For privacy redaction, apply effects only to selected regions and verify output at final delivery size. A blur that looks strong at full resolution can become weak after platform downscaling, so review the uploaded result when possible.
Pixelate works well for faces and license plates at moderate strength. Blur can be cleaner for document backgrounds. Posterize helps hide subtle gradients but should be tested carefully for readability leaks around edges.
Is blur always enough for personal data?
No. Increase strength and area coverage, and inspect edges. If needed, combine blur with larger block/pixel settings.
Should I redact before or after resize?
Usually after final resize target is known. This keeps redaction strength aligned with the delivered dimensions.
Can I undo selection mistakes?
Yes. Use selection undo/redo controls and recheck all regions before export.
