TIFF to JPG questions
Can IMAGEEE convert every TIFF file to JPG?
No. This conversion supports unsigned 8-bit TIFF input. It does not convert 16-bit or 32-bit TIFFs to JPG, and CMYK TIFF-to-JPG conversion is not supported.
What happens to a multi-page TIFF?
You must choose the page to convert and confirm that the other pages will be omitted. This path does not automatically choose a page or promise a separate JPG for every page.
Will the JPG keep my transparent background?
No. If the input has transparency, you must select a background and agree to replace the transparent areas before converting.
Will converting to JPG change image quality or guarantee a smaller file?
JPG uses lossy compression, so the result can differ from the TIFF. The output size depends on the image and conversion settings; no fixed reduction or upload limit is guaranteed. Keep the original TIFF if you need it for later editing or archiving.
What if the JPG is still too large for an upload?
After conversion, use the image compression or resizing tools linked below. Check the result's actual file size and dimensions against the receiving website's requirements; a JPG extension alone does not guarantee acceptance.
How to convert TIFF to JPG
1. Choose your TIFF file Select the scan or photo you want to convert. This path supports unsigned 8-bit TIFF input; 16-bit, 32-bit and CMYK TIFF files are not supported for JPG conversion.
2. Confirm JPG output Check that JPG is selected as the output format before starting the conversion.
3. Choose a page and background when needed For a multi-page TIFF, select one page and confirm that the other pages will be omitted. For a transparent image, choose a background and confirm that the JPG will lose transparency.
