TIFF to WebP questions

Which TIFF images does this workflow support?

This workflow supports unsigned 8-bit TIFF scans and photos. High-bit and CMYK inputs are outside its supported scope. It does not promise support for every TIFF variant.

Will WebP keep transparency?

A background or transparency-loss consent is not required for this output.

Will all pages or document details be kept?

For a multi-page TIFF, choose one page and confirm that the other pages will be omitted. The output is an image; it does not promise to preserve the complete source document or every metadata field. Keep the original for archiving.

Will conversion change image quality?

The default WebP output uses lossless image compression and keeps supported transparency. Keep the original image if you need its complete original representation.

Is the output always smaller?

No. File size depends on the image and format. Check the actual output bytes against the receiving website's limit; no fixed reduction or upload acceptance is guaranteed.
