Convert JPG to BMP
Choose a JPG file for BMP conversionJPG to BMP converter
BMP output is preset. Each source image has its own output task and file; this page does not export animation. Confirm BMP is selected. If the source has transparency, explicitly select Flatten transparency and choose Background before adding the task. There is no automatic flattening or background choice. Leave Width and Height blank to keep dimensions after orientation handling. For a source with an embedded ICC profile, explicitly choose Remove color profile (may change colors). This removes the tag; it does not perform a color-managed conversion. Display-P3 removal is rejected. Review the flattened background and colors in the downloaded BMP. Choose Add task, then Run when ready. No task is created automatically; review loss choices before adding it.

JPG to BMP questions
Which JPG files can I convert to BMP?
This workflow supports ordinary unsigned 8-bit RGB or grayscale JPG images. High-bit, CMYK, Display-P3, animated and unqualified variants are outside its scope. Each source image has its own output task and file; this page does not export animation.
Will the BMP keep my transparent background?
No. This BMP writer does not preserve alpha. A transparent source needs your explicit Flatten transparency choice and Background color. JPG has no alpha; converting it cannot recover transparency.
Will color profiles and metadata be kept?
For a source with an embedded ICC profile, explicitly choose Remove color profile (may change colors). This removes the tag; it does not perform a color-managed conversion. Display-P3 removal is rejected. Review the flattened background and colors in the downloaded BMP. Complete metadata preservation is not guaranteed; check the saved image in the receiving app.
Will all pages, frames or icon sizes be exported?
Each source image has its own output task and file; this page does not export animation. Inputs are not merged into a multi-page document.
Will the result always be smaller or accepted by my app?
No. Check the actual download bytes and confirm that the receiving app accepts BMP. Conversion cannot restore detail already lost in JPG encoding. A different extension alone does not guarantee acceptance or print readiness.
